Frequently Asked Questions
Our pottery is made of stoneware clay and a selection of glazes suitable for functional use. It is fired to 1200 degrees Celsius making it durable and food safe.
Our pottery is technically microwave safe, but we do not recommend it, since like with any piece of crockery it does have an impact on the longevity of an item.
Our pottery can be washed in a dishwasher, but with some pieces we recommend handwash due to the nature of the item and its intricate design.
All of our pottery is handmade, painted, carved, sculpted and glazed in our small studio. The designs are our original projects. One mug takes about 5 hours to make. Every single piece is handcrafted using a variety of specialised tools and glazes. The pottery supplies are quite costly. It takes 2 firing, each of about 12 hours in an electric kiln for a final piece to be ready. The costs behind running a small brand are quite significant: insurance, heating & electricity, taxes, hosting, selling platform fees, accounting, use of software for social media, packaging and compliance with regulations.
We currently mostly offer online purchase option.
There are a few Events throughout the year that we attend and you can see our pieces there.
At the moment, we’re not able to take on commissions, we both have full-time jobs, and pottery remains our much-loved hobby (for now!). Each piece we create is made in our own time, with care and creativity, and while we’d love to offer bespoke work in the future, we’re just not quite there yet.
However, we’re always working on new designs, and our handmade pieces are available in small batches, each one unique and full of character. We truly appreciate your interest and support, and who knows? One day, we hope to turn this passion into something bigger!
Our pottery is made out of stoneware clay and food safe glazes that were fired to 1200 degrees Celsius. It is heatproof, but not resistant to the heat shock if used incorrectly. Avoid sudden changes of temperature (do not place a piece from a fridge into a hot oven or pour boiling water into a mug that was kept in a fridge).
Our ceramics are dishwasher safe, but make sure you place it securely with no lose items hitting it during the wash cycle.
Over time the inside of the mug and unglazed parts of it can be stained with tea or coffee. Use a soft brush and washing up liquid to delicately scrub the area and rinse in hot water.
We are aiming at sustainability when it comes to packaging. We use paper wrap and compostable packing peanuts as well as kraft cardboard boxes. Occasionally we use recycled bubble wrap to protect the most fragile designs.
Every product currently featured in our shop is ready to be purchased straight away. We currently do not make pieces to order and if it changes in the future, it will be clearly marked in the product description.

We make sure to pack our pieces carefully and protect them from any damage. In over 200 posted parcels, we haven't had a single broken piece so far!
But the accidents happen, so once we get a proof of a broken product (arrangements to be done on individual basis) we will issue a refund or offer a replacement. Please note that most of our pieces are one of a kind and there may not be an exactly the same product available.
Please give it a couple of days and firstly enquire with your neighbours. If the parcel does not show up, get in touch, we will check a proof of posting and start a claim with delivery company.
Please mind that the missing parcel claim requires filing a crime report form with your local police department and providing a reference number.
